The Transportation Museum Andrew Mancini, Director
Transportation Museum 2015 > Transportation Hall of Fame
At this museum exhibit, we highlighted six transit agencies with dioramas. Guests could push buttons and make things in the dioramas light up or make sounds. How did you like the exhibit? Let us know.
Las Vegas (RTC)
In this diorama, we had a picture of the Las Vegas strip with two gold buses in the foreground. Thank you to RTC who generously donated the two buses!
Philadelphia (SEPTA)
Thank you to SEPTA (Southeastern Pennsylvania Transit Agency), who donated a foam bus to the museum. We had a SEPTA bus in this diorama, with the Liberty Bell in the background.
London (TFL)
When we visited London, we picked up a subway car. In this diorama, we placed the subway car "in" a station, and let guests turn the lights on and off.
Milwaukee (MCTS)
Thank you, Milwaukee! In this diorama, we placed a bus donated by the Milwaukee transit system in front of the Miller brewery.
San Antonio (VIA)
VIA generously donated a red trolley to the museum, which we placed in the diorama, in front of an adobe mission. We let guests push a button to make lightning appear in the sky. It was cool!
New York (MTA)
We placed this diorama inside a cardboard box so that when guests pushed a button to make lights and sounds go on, the diorama would be dark, so guests could see the lights better. We had fun riding MTA in New York, too.
